Dr. Rohith Stanislaus is a Consultant Cardiologist & Electrophysiologist at KPJ Tawakkal Specialist Hospital, with extensive experience in cardiology, electrophysiology, and clinical research, and a strong record of academic and professional achievements.
Dr. Rohith Stanislaus is a Consultant Cardiologist & Electrophysiologist at KPJ Tawakkal Specialist Hospital. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the University of Manitoba, Canada (2003), and a Bachelor of Medicine – Bachelor of Surgery from the Manipal Academy of Higher Education (2008). He became a Member of the Royal College of Physicians (UK) in April 2014 and has since obtained several prestigious fellowships and certifications, including the FRCP, CCDS, FNHAM, AM, and FAPSIC. Dr. Stanislaus is also a Certified Cardiac Device Specialist, accredited by the International Board Heart Rhythm Examiners (IBHRE). Dr. Stanislaus began his career as a Trainee Programmer at Yano Electronics in 2001 and worked in campus security at the University of Manitoba in 2000. After completing his medical degree, he served as a House Officer at Hospital Tuanku Ja’afar Seremban from 2009 to 2011, followed by roles as a Medical Officer at Klinik Kesihatan Terachi and Klinik Kesihatan Kuala Pilah. He then returned to Hospital Tuanku Ja’afar Seremban, where he completed rotations in various internal medicine subspecialties, including General Medicine, Rheumatology, Endocrinology, Nephrology, Hematology, Gastroenterology, Cardiac Care Unit, and High Dependency Ward. He was gazetted as an Internal Medicine Physician in 2015 and subsequently served as a General Physician at Hospital Tuanku Ja’afar Seremban. In June 2017, Dr. Stanislaus joined Institut Jantung Negara (IJN) as a Clinical Fellow, where he worked until December 2021. He then became a Cardiologist at IJN, serving until February 2025, before taking up his current position at KPJ Tawakkal Specialist Hospital in March 2025. Dr. Stanislaus has a strong academic and research background, having participated in numerous clinical trials and studies, including the LEADR LBBAP Trial, LIBREXIA AF TRIAL, FARADISE Study, OCEANIF-AF Trial, VITALITY-HFpEF Trial, MAHSY Trial, and HELIOS-B Trial. He has contributed to quality assurance projects and presented research at various conferences. His research has been published in reputable journals such as JAMA and the International Journal of Cardiology. He has received several awards, including the Best ESC Online Clinical Case (June 2018), winner of the 1st NHAM Fellow-in-Training Debate (2018), Anugerah Perkhidmatan Cemerlang (2014), and the Negeri Sembilan QA Study Competition (2014). Dr. Stanislaus is actively involved in professional organizations, holding memberships in the Malaysian Association for the Prevention of Tuberculosis, National Heart Association Malaysia, Malaysian Medical Association, and the Academy of Medicine Malaysia, among others. Dr. Stanislaus has delivered presentations at national and international conferences, including the European Society of Cardiology, TCTAP, and the Asia Pacific Heart Rhythm Society Scientific Sessions. He has also contributed to community health initiatives, organized educational events, and served as an instructor and lecturer in various capacities. His administrative roles include involvement in clinical pathways, registries, and examination organizing committees. With a passion for advancing cardiovascular medicine, Dr. Stanislaus continues to contribute to clinical practice, research, and education in cardiology and electrophysiology. His dedication to patient care, academic excellence, and professional development is reflected in his extensive list of qualifications, publications, and contributions to the medical community.
